The Chamber

There is just something about cyber scenes that make our little android heart happy. Perhaps it is our love for Star Trek, particularly The Next Generation. In a younger lifetime, we were so addicted that we played a great deal of ST:TNG the card game. We are currently binging Doctor Who with Troy, to share his love of the UK phenomenon. Once that is done, we shall share our love of TNG with him.

Bright As Yellow

Modular Victorian

Earlier this month, we were blogging for the SL Living Expo and due to some sketchy time management issues on our end, we were unable to share with you this phenomenal MODit building kit from The Looking Glass. What you see here is the TLG MODit – Starter COMPLETE SET and now that the event has ended it can be found at the main store so head on that way to get yours.

Finished Starter Houses –
Each set has a finished starter house that you can purchase separately or get as part of the Complete Set. Set 1 has the Victorian Estate and Set 2 has the Parisian Row Home. These are finished buildings created using only the pieces and textures from those sets. They are both large, six room houses with numerous fireplaces and were created to demonstrate all aspects of what these sets have to offer. You can use them as they are, use them as a starting point for your own structure or just as reference to see how to put together the parts.

Extras Pack –
Sold separately and included in the Complete Set. This is a collection of detail items you might wish to add to your structure. It includes gutters, shutters, fireplace setups, fire escapes, air conditioning units, TV antennas, mailboxes, planter boxes, wood stoves, solar panels and more! The fire escapes are walkable without the need for any scripting and the fires are animated with particle sparks and sounds included.

Each set contains basic textures and pieces that are in both sets as well as textures and pieces that are unique to that set alone. Both sets come with the same scripts.

The Complete Set contains all textures and pieces from both sets as well as the pieces in the Extras Pack.

Plundered Booty

One of our favorite things about the HISA – Kahakai house is that it has a built in koi pond on the roof ! This is a completely outstanding use of space, and it offers not only a spacious entertaining space, but an excellent use of that space. It is spectacular for those that prefer their playroom dungeon to be a bit more airy too, and Dictatorshop provides the perfect toys for any pirate wishing to plunder some or someone’s booty !

As with most Dictatorshop items, they come in an assortment of configurations to suit the needs and tastes of the pluderer, as well as the always present texture change menu that make mixing and matching with other decor far easier than walking the plank !

Outside In

It is not often that we manage to do an entire post using nothing but featured sponsor items, but when they all go together as beautifully as this, who could resist ?

It is funny how things come together innit? It was certainly a realization out of left field for Troy and I (Prin) when we got together 2 years ago today. Not only did it come out of left field, but we did not even realize we were standing in the field to get smacked by it in the first place. Beth and Kait had to have ‘the talk’ with us both and say ” DUH ! ” before we would even admit to ourselves let alone each other, that what we had, was more than we were willing to admit it was.

2 years ago today, we realized that what we were feeling was far more than butterflies fluttering around. What we had was full grown hippos in tutu’s and dancing penguins on parade. We still refer to penguins and hippos whenever our stomachs feel that familiar parade of emotion.

I wanted to take a moment and give you a bit more detail on the Cerridwens Cauldron – Vivarium Tile set that is available at Uber. I loved the overall look of these tiles as flooring under the patio, but it does make it hard for you to see them well. They pair beautifully with matching wood shades of the Green Wall Cabinet and Coral Tank Showcase, as you can see above.

There are 3 types of tiles available in the set. Swamp Tiles with swaying flora, with a menu option to turn the moving off. Light tiles and solid tiles allow you to mix and match to achieve your favorite look.

Light- Affects only the Light Panel Tile- Turns on/off the big center light panel. The panel has projected lighting if you have advanced lighting on. The light color will match the panel color.

TileGlow-ON/OFF switch. Affects the glowing strips and decorative corner lights in all panels.

Twinkles- ON/OFF switch. Affects only the swamp vivarium panel. Turns on/off the twinkles inside the panel, no advanced lighting necessary

PlantGlow- ON/OFF switch. Affects only the swamp vivarium panel. Turns on/off the glow on the plants inside the panel, no advanced lighting necessary

PlantSway-ON/OFF switch. Affects only the swamp vivarium panel. Turns on/off the gentle plant swaying in the plants

LightColor- Affects only the light panel tile. Takes you to the light color selection sub-menu, where you can choose from 10 different colors for the tile/light

GlowColor- Affects all the tiles. Takes you to the light color selection sub-menu, where you can choose from 10 different colors for the tiles glowing strips and corner decorative lights.

ScriptDel- Will delete the scripts after a warning confirmation message. Once you have deleted the script you will not be able to do any further changes to the showcase.
