Autumn Crystals

The countdown is on. For some it is for fall colors and cooler weather, for others it is for Halloween and all things spooktacular. For us, the countdown is for September 30th and the release of Hocus Pocus 2 !

Before we can get to that release, yesterday marked the release of these super fun Crystal Jacks from Cerridwens Cauldron at ACCESS. This round will run from September 12th – October 8th. They are available in 3 designs, Grinning Cat, Skellington and Tribal. There is also a fatpack option which includes exclusive items.

There is a texture and color menu which allows you to choose exterior, interior and edge colors. You can choose Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Black and fatpack bonuses Iron, Silver and Lava variations. The menu will also allow you to choose the light color and turn the glow options on or off for interior,exterior and edges.

A Day In The Mind

Today is the opening day of the Spoonful of Sugar Event to support Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The event runs from September 3rd – 18th. You can find more information about the event on the official website at https://www.thesosfestival.com/.

Cerridwens Cauldron is participating in this event, and have created an event exclusive coloring of the Summer Prince Statue that will only be available at the event. I previously blogged the original color set of the statue here – Frog Shroom Royalty – and chose to show it off in the smaller scale option this time.

When deciding how I wanted to present this to you all, my mind went on quite an adventure during the brainstorming. I started out with ‘ Medicinal Frogs ‘ and that transformed into Dr’s Without Borders and Nurses Without Limits, but of course that is a totally different kind of post now isn’t it ? So then I finally landed on ‘ Do These Boobs Make My Frog Look Big ? ‘.

So as you can see, our mind is rather twisted and perverse, and just a little silly.

Understanding Magic

Magic, is simply something we can not comprehend with science or logic.

Many moons ago, knowing which herbs and plants would heal you and not kill you, was considered magic. You possessed knowledge that the masses did not, and therefor, the logical explanation, was that you were practicing magic ! Even worse, you got labeled a witch and burned at the stake.

Part of why the world seems less magical, is because of our drive as a race, to prove or disprove all things with logic or science. This drive for understanding, shines a light at those dark places where magic lives. Not necessarily a bad thing, and the advances in medicine, which is a topic for a whole other post, have saved lives, through logical scientific magic.

Frog Shroom Royalty

We all know the story, of the Princess who kisses the frog and he turns into a handsome Prince. In the original Grimm version of the story, the frog’s spell was broken when the princess threw the frog against the wall, at which he transformed back into a prince, while in modern versions the transformation is triggered by the princess kissing the frog. In other early versions, it was sufficient for the frog to spend the night on the princess’ pillow.

Then there is the whole lick the toad to get high trend. Funny enough that it is actually a law on the books in Los Angeles. It is actually illegal in many countries across the globe, because licking toads may send you on a trip, but it is highly likely the trip will be to the hospital, or the morgue. Better to stick to the Shrooms, just be careful which ones of those you eat too !

Even if the Grimm Fables and the Psychedelic amphibian adventures are not what their reputations make them out to be, there are some Fairytales that do come true, and you get to kiss and lick something much better than a frog or a toad ! Sometimes, you get to kiss a lion !
