Oh it feels like we could use a nice island vacation today. Woke up thinking we had 2 days worth of posts ready to go, only to realize that the events for those posts will not be till later this week, so something new needed to be shot for today ! Since we almost always have several posts worth of ideas ready to go at any given time, we just moved up the time schedule for a couple to fill in the gap.

Last night we finished the last episode of season 2 Gentleman Jack. Sadly it had not been picked up for the 3rd and final season, but the 2 seasons that were made were fantastic. I just had to use a scene from the show on the television, since that is what we have been binging for the last week or so.

If you are not familiar with the show, it is a historical docu-drama about the relationship between Anne Lister and Ann Walker. The two were married in Britain’s first known lesbian wedding At the time in 1834 it was neither legal nor recognized by the Holy Trinity Church in York where the two took the sacrament together on a fine Easter Sunday morning, and considered the act their own version of taking vows to each other, entering into a marriage unto themselves.

The story of their relationship is one that was written by Anne Lister herself, as she was a prolific diarist, and her personal diaries total 26 volumes written between 1806 – 1840, and included over 5 million words, 1/6th of which were written in her own cypher code. The code was needed to disguise the quite graphically detailed tellings of her sexual encounters and love affairs with those of the fairer sex.

Shower vs bath, which team are you ?

For us, showers are for washing ones self, and baths are for relaxation. The idea of cleaning your body using the same water you just washed the yuck off with seems a bit absurd. How can you clean your body with dirty water?

In our RL, our home is pretty sparse when it comes to furniture to sit on. We find it does help keep visitors away since everyone knows we do not want them to visit anyway, but not having anyplace for them to sit is also an added incentive. In SL, we can whip out a wide assortment of seating options for damn near any occasion from our inventory if needed, tho we generally do not have guests there either, and the restricted access deters those that might attempt it. We need ban lines in RL !

Ah the thoughts of running away to some tropical paradise with the sun and the sand and not a care in the world at least until the logical side of the brain kicks in. It seems so hard to believe that it has been nearly 7 years since we became friends with one Savannah Rain. Our lives have done a heck of alot of roller coaster rides since then, and we may not have ended up as close as we started, but the love is still there, and the memories are still just as strong.
