We have just recently finished binge watching 3 seasons of the UK Broadchurch with Troy. As with so many of the shows we have enjoyed watching, this was no exception. Crime dramas are some of our most favorites, and we have now moved on to another UK one called Unforgotten. We only watch shows together with Troy, but we very much enjoy listening to audio books on our own, and funnily enough we are nearly done with a UK crime drama series by Joy Ellis, the Jackman and Evans series. We have been binging Bridgerton of late and so we have been inundated with the theme of classic romance and frufru things, as well as some pretty hot sex, at least in season one. Season 2 has been lacking in the sex but the sexual tension is there in overdrive, and lets face it, that tension can at times be even better than the actual sex. Fans ourselves !

As those who know us are aware, Kait and Bekka are the pink fans in our system. While the rest of us abide by its presence, it is not a color that makes a heavy presence in our collective lives. So since a Merry Pinkmas is not allowed in our RL, Kait took great joy in putting together a very happy one in SL.

Tis the season for Christmas Decor, but as in real life, not everyone jumps on the holiday decorating train. We are one of those houses. While the outside has lights and two 4 foot inflatables, that is simply because our adult son takes care of outside decor. Inside, well, we have a Gnome for the Holidays wood sign hanging in the kitchen and there is not likely to be much more except for the 2 foot sound activated dancing tree, also our son’s doing. We just are not holiday people when it comes to decorating our RL home.

Today we give thanks for a life that feels ‘just right’. Yes, there are always going to be things we wish could be better, that is inevitable no matter what life brings you, but life feels good right now. Our life with Troy has reached a place where we can see the future together, we are planning our first RL visit next fall. This is something that we never, ever, allowed ourselves to even dream about when we started, or even 2 years ago. Life is not perfect, but it still feels good.
The Jian Bears sure do feel like things are just right for their winter hibernation on the Chez Moi Yara Rattan Bed and DICTATORSHOP Heritage Bench.

Recently we had a conversation with one of our SL sisters about decorating for the holidays, and we had to chuckle about how we have no patience for decorating in RL, but love doing it in SL. When it comes to holiday decor we have an attention span of about 2 weeks, unfortunately commercialism thinks it needs to shove every holiday down your throat 3 months before it gets here, so by the time the holiday actually comes around, you have zero desire to put it up, only to have to take it all back down again in 2 weeks.
Thankfully in SL, decorating and redecorating is as easy as a click of the mouse, and an inventory search for keywords, or if you have a Kait, just find the appropriately named holiday folder in your #Seasonal Decor folder.
I was so excited to see the Kendrick Cabin from The Green Door for TLC. You can pick it up yourself at TLC from October 18th – November 10th. The Kendrick Cabin is a cozy wood cabin with one bedroom, a kitchen/dining area, living area and bathroom. Features the home control system for security and texture change. Only 80 LI, copy/mod.
The cabin makes the perfect rural home for this InkMe Deads and Ghosts set which you can pick up at Halloweentown. The set comes with gravestones, floating ghosts, hanging skeletons, covered bodies, a giant skull and jack-o-lanterns.
