Today we give thanks to our military service members. Those that fell in battle and those who were left to mourn them. Those that served in conflict, and peace time. We give thanks to you all.

Days of Thanksgiving #7

Today, we are thankful for music. Music has always played a role in our lives, starting with piano lessons at the age of 5. Then it was clarinet, flute & baritone in the school band and chorus. Musicals with drama class was always a favorite, not to mention numerous Broadway shows due to living a train ride away from NYC.

We were raised by our grandparents, but still maintained a close relationship with our mother and father, so this lead to a love of music that ranges from the 50’s straight through to the current music of the time we were growing up. Genre’s from Classical to 2 Live Crew ( we still remember watching that cassette tape melt in the woodstove after our grandmother caught us listening to it and threw it in there, twice, no more Me So Horny !)

We can also thank music for bringing us Troy, as the Live Music circles in SL is how we met in the first place. That lead to a wonderful 3 years managing performers with Music Speaks Management. Yes, we certainly have alot of thanks for music.

This Glitter Jumpsuit from FEC for the November round of Unik had us humming Night Fever from the moment we unpacked it, and thus, today’s theme was decided.

I am also rocking the Tennese v2 skin and shape from Cocoa Matrix, also for this round of Unik. Version 2 with dark makeup is a Unik event exclusive. Unik opens today November 7th and runs until November 28th.

Days of Thanksgiving Day #5

Today we are thankful for vacations. We are eagerly awaiting next September, when Troy will be traveling to us, to be followed by us traveling to see him hopefully not long after. It will be the most amazing way to celebrate Troys 50th birthday, together.

Something we all can be thankful for right now, is the curve hugging Nashaly Jumpsuit and boots from LsR at Cosmopolitan from October 31st – November 12th.

Abby Kἶʂოεէ Anatine (kaoie): Nite Arysta the Angel!

I am dedicating today’s post to Abby Anatine, aka Shorty, for the quote shown above. The very idea that those words were said with our name, is hysterical in and of itself, but as we always remember, Lucifer was an Angel too, so, we have hope !

The most common joke about us and angels is that we ordered extra halos and had them shrunk down and wear them as nipple and clit rings, so they are harder to lose. This usually gets more than a couple chuckles when said in local chat, which does get mentioned with some regularity.

When we are concentrating on something and our mind is quite focused on the task at hand, we have a habit of sticking our tongue out. We rarely realize that we are doing it until we notice that they feel a bit chapped.

Oh the number of times we have said the words “Make Me”. As a taunt, as a tease, as a brat, with confidence. Nearly as versatile as the word Fuck, it can be used in so many ways, and its meaning and intent changing with a simple tone of voice.

When it comes to helping kick Cancer’s ass, it is never a matter of make me, but count me in ! Today is the official opening of I Pink I Can ( IPIC ) and the talented and giving Alessia Setner at Second Nature Jewellery has the special edition Bella Necklace for sale with all proceeds going to the cause. Along with the many talented designers offering goods for sale, and even more offering items for auction, there will be live music, dance shows, DJ sets, musical productions and so many other exciting things to see and do. This does not even include the spookatcular Pirates Gold haunt and experience that everyone must go to at least once, or twice!

When we came black to blogging just a few months ago, we made the decision to choose one base look. The look that we wore in our daily SL lives, would be the look that we blogged as. Today, we made an exception to bring you some very talented creators items. the Unik event has such a wide range of products and designers that there really is something for everyone.

While we endeavor not to make changes to items that we blog, we did for one item today. The UpBeatz – Avery Shape was created for use with LeLutka Avalon head, and not the Ora that we wear. The only modification made was to round out the jaw shape to suit the difference in heads, no other modifications were made.

Calling us a kinky witch, would be quite the understatement. It also makes me chuckle remembering a conversation had one night at a live music show, tho I can not quite remember which one, there have been so many. The debate of the night was the difference between a kink and a fetish. This is something that tends to get blurry, and sadly too many people think that the two are interchangeable.

Survivors of childhood trauma walk through a lot of hell, and by learning to own the place, is how we survive it. Walking that fine line between owning it, and becoming it, is a very thin one. You have to learn to be the devil, without becoming a demon yourself. You learn to leash your demons like hell hounds, but even the best trainers drop a leash from time to time, and those demons come back to taunt you even years later. Picking the leash back up is not always easy, but you just keep reminding yourself that you did it once, you can do it again.
