One of our most favorite events of the year is upon us ! I Pink I Can benefits The American Cancer Society’s Strides campaign and is working in partnership with Linden Labs. One of the super fun events going on this year is the spooky maze sponsored by HiVid. As you journey through the maze you will find 5 family fun Halloween movies but we are not about to ruin the surprise of which ones they might be so go get lost and found ! If you are in need of a HiVid television they also have one available to purchase at the main shopping area with the proceeds going directly to Strides event. This is the perfect chance to give back and get entertained at the same time.

In our usual public service announcement fashion, we also wanted to mention that according to a paper published by the National Bureau of Economic Research, while a television in your bedroom may not kill your sex life, it is associated with a decrease in the amount of sex you are having.

The paper, published in 2018, examines the association between television ownership and sexual frequency using data from nearly 4 million individuals in national household surveys in 80 countries from 5 continents.

We manage to say it for every scene we do ” This is deffy one of our faves “, and it is true. We would be hard pressed to pick an actual favorite scene we have done because they are all our faves in one way or another. Every scene seems to hit on something different, and make us happy for different reasons. This one just makes us feel happy and contented. No reason why specifically, it just does. Perhaps it is because it includes the Narra set from Scafall which is available at the SL Living Expo till March 12, with all proceeds going to support RFL and kicking cancers ass !

We are so super excited to be involved in this years SL Living Expo for RFL as both bloggers and participants in this years decorator challenge. Each participant was given a 12 x 12 ‘room’ to decorate in whatever way we chose. There is an official RFL kiosk outside of each room, and at the end of the event, the room with the most donations to RFL wins ! We are providing the credits for the full room setup in this post, and not just what is shown in the above photo.

While I would love to be selfish and tell you all to go donate all your lindens to our kiosk, in good faith, we can not. There is an abundance of talent on display in this contest, and since all the funds raised are going to one of the best causes ever, we urge you to vote for ALL your favorites, even if it is not ours.

After you are done ooohing and ahhing over the decor rooms, be sure and check out all the other fun things to do at the Expo. You can find out about all the events, performances, shopping and art walk on the website https://sl-living-expo.org/. There is nothing worse than having to stand around in the graveyard waiting for your summoned zombie to rise from the grave. They can be worse than waiting on a woman to get dressed.

It is a good thing I had something fabulous to wear while waiting. ViO has made this adorable Witches Outfit for I Pink I Can and it comes with the dress, boots, hat and a broom !

Also from I Pink I Can is this Scary Tombstone from SE7EN. There are spooky spiders running around and the Skelly fades in and out. There is optional spooky sounds as well.

When we are concentrating on something and our mind is quite focused on the task at hand, we have a habit of sticking our tongue out. We rarely realize that we are doing it until we notice that they feel a bit chapped.

For the past several years, we have been a part of the RFL team Camping For A Cure. It is one of the things we are the most proud of doing in second life. With two large events each year, Freedom Rock in the spring, and I Pink I Can in the fall. This year the fall event will happen October 15th – October 30th.

“Why do you fight? ”

This is a question that is asked numerous times throughout the season. Our reason was made even more powerful recently when our step mother made the choice, to stop fighting. She was told that her breast cancer was back, for the 4th time, and had spread. We fight so that no more mothers, or in our case, no more step mothers, or sisters or cousins or aunts, have to make the choice, to stop fighting, so they can find a way to enjoy the life they have left, on their terms. She made the choice for quality of live, over a complicated medical longevity. We fight, because she can’t keep doing it anymore.
