Leaves are falling even tho fall has been here for months it is finally feeling like it. Here in the North East US, we normally see our fall colors by the end of September and most of our leaf raking is over by the end of October. Due to such an abundance of rain over the summer, our trees were still too hydrated to change into their fall wardrobes on schedule. Now it is November, and there are still leaves yet to fall around here, so we are hoping the snow holds off until they are all down. Snow plus leaves still on trees is a nasty combination that just screams for downed power lines and extended cleanup.
