Tis the season for seasonal depression,
Fa la la la la la la la!
You think by now we’d of learned the lesson.
Fa la la la la la la la!

Perhaps it isn’t the seasonal depression that has its bony little hand beckoning us along, it could be the regular kind, or it could be the perfectly expected death of a loved one kind, or the missing Troy kind.

So many flavors which one shall we ever choose ? NOT the pumpkin spiced one, THAT we can guarantee !

The fact of the matter is, we are experiencing one or more of the above flavors at the moment. This is a flavor we are quite used to, we partake regularly in small medicated doses. For us right now it means that blogging feels like work, when it normally feels like enjoyment. We are struggling to feel creative and we are fairly certain that every photo we have done since August has looked sub-par to our usual standards we set for ourselves. It will pass, it always does, but it’s gonna suck while it lingers.

For the past week, we have been driving our son to and from work every day, why he waits for the mechanic to get the rim for his car in, as he cracked one. This is a 45 minute drive each way, so us driving him is essentially 4 hours a day in the car.

This ordeal lead to a conversation with our grandfather about how he remembered when there was a time you could walk into any junkyard and pick up a used rim for no more than $10, and nearly all car rims were the same ‘standard size’ and easily swapped out from model to model, and often even brand to brand. It sure does not work that way these days, even windshield wipers come in so many different combinations of size that nearly every model requires it’s own specific wipers.

Hopefully the part comes in on some time today and our kiddo can go back to driving himself !
