Family Adventure

The Ashton House by The Green Door, is our current pick for mid size family home. The open first floor gives ample room for kitchen, dining and living room, as well as 2 bedrooms and a smaller bath/bonus room. The upper floor has 2 more bedrooms and 1 bath/bonus room as well as cute alcove areas perfect for forts and reading nooks.

The home includes the Home Control system with which you can control security, lock doors and change the textures throughout the home. Each room has an option of 6 color choices. The brick exterior has 4 color options and the floors have 3 color choices.

What family home would be complete without a fun playground in the garden? The Adventure Playground from Why Not has the ability to animate up to 24 children with the full set, so perfect for schools and community parks as well as private homes !

When we first rezzed this Millie Bedroom set from InkMe, there was quite alot of interest in it from members of our system that spanned across all the age groups. Different people liked different bits and pieces while other of us were not as thrilled with the amount of pink and cute. Holding Out

Tis the season for Christmas Decor, but as in real life, not everyone jumps on the holiday decorating train. We are one of those houses. While the outside has lights and two 4 foot inflatables, that is simply because our adult son takes care of outside decor. Inside, well, we have a Gnome for the Holidays wood sign hanging in the kitchen and there is not likely to be much more except for the 2 foot sound activated dancing tree, also our son’s doing. We just are not holiday people when it comes to decorating our RL home.

Today’s post truly made us realize just how much happier we are focusing only on home & decor posts, and not trying to juggle fashion posts as well. Setting up a scene feels so comfortable and natural, where our fashion posts always had an undercurrent of frustration and felt forced. We are not those kinds of girls who enjoy changing clothes and playing dress up, we are the girls that are perfectly happy wearing the same favorite jeans and tee while we stand or snuggle with Troy on our platforms for a week at a time. Tis the last day of November, and since Thanksgiving has come and passed, it is now perfectly acceptable to start putting up your Christmas decor. Those that insist on putting it up before Thanksgiving, are just a bunch of heathens!

Today’s post was inspired by our mothers cat Toby. It takes more time for her to put the tree up than it does for him to find a comfy spot for a nap. Unlike the real life version, I forgot to leave the ornaments off till they got bored of the tree.
